Fix the Power Grid

This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.

Congress is finally beginning to address the most serious crisis facing our country today, bar none. A hearing in the Senate Energy Committee this morning should show that to be the vulnerability of America’s electric grid.

I say “should” because some members of the Committee seem more interested in investigating how information about this vulnerability has come to light, rather than in fixing the power grid.

Yes, it’s bad that enemies know they could achieve a “world without America” by turning off the lights for a very long time.

The trouble is, they haven’t just learned the grid is our nation’s Achilles’ heel. Only the American people have been kept in the dark about this danger. That must end – and so must the vulnerabilities that would keep us in the dark permanently.
