Shhh We’re Reading Dirty Books
Arts:Books
Our first historical romance for the pod! Bringing Down the Duke introduces the issues surrounding women’s rights in the late 1800s England and makes for a great conversation. Join us as we meet Annabelle, a ‘commoner’ who just wants to live the way every woman should be able to live - free from the confines of the rules of men. After being one of the first women accepted to attend the University of Oxford, Annabelle unknowingly approaches Sebastian Devereux, the Duke of Montgomery, asking for his support for the women’s suffrage movement. Though both are instantly attracted to one another, they both have lots of past-relationship-baggage and opposing agendas that must be kept. So what happens? Well, just listen.
