This week Jim & Ted try to escape from the real world a bit with three films that discuss the limits of human thought. First up an HBO remake of the Ray Bradbury's 1953 novel, Fahrenheit 451. The two most popular Michaels are pitted against each other in this dystopian allegory about burning books. This is not the first film adaptation (in 1966 Truffaut adapted this) but Jim and Ted are excited to see HBO's take on this subject.
On the lighter side Ralph Breaks the Internet and Ted challenges Disney's colon use and Jim and Ted are hopeful that Disney can get this right after the Emoji Movie got it so wrong.
To round out the Dystopian Episode another novel, this time Steven Spielberg tackles Ernest Cline's 2011 Ready Player One. Jim and Ted talk about how far we are from the OASIS and Ted compares the search for Halliday's Easter Egg to mining for Bitcoin in the future. If you want an experience closer to the VR in Ready Player One the Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire is open in Anahiem and London.
