Hello friends! Singer-songwriter and veteran of Austin's 70's & 80's punk/new wave scene, Lisa Gamache is my guest for episode 1270! She has a brand new album out, Dragon Fly, featuring an amazing cast of musicians like Lloyd Maines, Will Sexton, Amy Lavere, Nick Ferarri and many more. Find it wherever you stream or download your jams. Her release show is in Austin this Friday, 4/28 at All The Sudden. Go to lisagamache.bandzoogle.com for show info, music and more. In the late 70's and early 80's, Austin punk and new wave scene, Lisa was the singer for Max and the Make Ups and Skank, How To Kiss. She sang back-up for Dino Lee's White Trash Review and in a band I was in called, Cry Wolf and many other bands. We have a great convo about making Dragon Fly, her time in Austin, moving to L.A. in the late 80's, getting signed by a label that quickly evaporated up someone's nose, leaving the biz t tach and getting back into it. I loved hearing Lisa's Story and had a blast chatting with her. Enjoy! Let's get down!
