Delta Green ”Pathways into Darkness” Chapter 1: Orders in the Dark

An unmarked jet cuts through the night sky, carrying NRO Delta operative Lee Jarvis and his small strike team toward an uncharted pyramid deep in the Yucatán jungle. Their mission is simple on paper and horrifying in practice: descend beneath the temple, plant a compact nuclear device, and prevent the end of the world as foretold by their superiors’ mysterious “sources.”

As the team hikes through dense rainforest toward the structure, they juggle fraying nerves, simmering tensions, and the unsettling sense that someone—or something—has already been here. Old shell casings, strange remains, and the untouched, alien geometry of the temple all point to one truth: this is not a normal op, and the real danger begins once they step below ground.

About the Chronicle

Delta Green: Pathways into Darkness is a Majestic-12 focused Delta Green duet, following NRO Delta agent Lee Jarvis as he’s tasked with carrying out impossible orders in service of a shadowy pact between humanity and inhuman “allies.” Set in 1994, this story blends military horror, conspiracy, and cosmic dread as Lee and his team infiltrate a lost pyramid in the Yucatán, racing against an unseen deadline to stop an extinction-level event buried beneath ancient stone.
