Shoutout to Brooklyn, NY Coney Island's own emcee Lil Dee for coming on my show for an interview! Lil Dee talked about his father introducing him to classic Hip-Hop, participating at cyphers at the age of 12, and how Michael Rapaport saved his life. He discussed his transition from his first Another Day On The Island EP to his newest They Call Me Danny James EP and getting back to his boom bap style. He got into combining himself, Danny, and his rap identity, Lil Dee, together, dealing with jealousy, and keeping a small circle of loyal friends. He announced that he has accepted an offer to attend college at LIU in the fall and will be majoring in music production under the Roc Nation program to start producing music. He plans on staying independent unless the right deal comes along and that he won't be dropping any major projects until he feels as though the time is right. Stay tuned!
