Sam Clements is curating a fictional film festival. He'll accept almost anything, but the movie must not be longer than 90 minutes. This is the 90 Minutes Or Less Film Fest podcast.
In episode 81 Sam is joined by film writer and critic Christina Newland.
Christina has chosen Agnès Varda's Le Bonheur (80 minutes). The 1965 film stars Jean-Claude Drouot, Claire Drouot, and Marie-France Boyer.
Sam and Christina discuss how Varda's dreamy visuals belie the movie's dark theme, why it clashed with French censors on it's release, and whether or not you should watch this film with your spouse.
