• In this episode: The medial collateral ligament (MCL) is a flat ligament on the inside of the knee. It is the most commonly injured ligament with some studies finding that it accounts for up to 10% of all injuries to the knee. Recovery time varies by grade, ranging from 10-60 days on average.
