Hundreds of Galway students walk out of lectures to protest cost of living

Hundreds of University of Galway students walked out of lectures this morning to protest the cost of living crisis.

It was part of a nationwide Student Walkout, organised by the Union of Students in Ireland.

Galway students gathered, wearing protest stickers, at the 'Big Yellow Thing' on campus at 11 minutes past 11.

There, Student Union reps spoke to the crowd, who chanted their frustrations with the housing crisis:
