Now many of us will probably end up doing a lot of our Christmas shopping online. But sometimes your consumer rights can be difficult to navigate when it comes to purchases you made online. Well the European Parliament this week endorsed proposed new EU rules to better protect consumers against scams and rogue traders operating over the Internet. The new regulations, which require final approval from the EU council, will give national enforcement authorites more powers to detect and halt online breaches of consumer protection laws. The Sinn Fein MEP Lynn Boylan explains how they should work.
