Welcome to Episode 8 of Glory Days of Gold. This episode is brought to you by sponsors Lauren Higgins and Anthony Gillies.
Recorded across two continents, Glory Days of Gold brings you a regular dose of East Fife FC and Scottish football chat, with a splattering of interesting interviews and fun segments and music thrown in along the way.
Our feature interview this week is with a man who is an East Fife legend. He spent six seasons at Bayview and was part of both championship and promotion winning teams, going on to make 159 appearances and captain the club. It's Toro himself, Greig McDonald.
We take a journey through Greig's career, from becoming disillusioned with the game after being released by Dunfermline to becoming an East Fife hero to going on to become a manager aged just 29 at Stirling, relegating us in the process. Yes, we don't let him forget that, nor the time he missed his team beating Rangers at Ibrox to get married!
There's lots of great chat and fun stories as we take a wonderful trip down memory lane with Greig.
We also bring you a second interview this week, as we bid farewell to striker Anton Dowds who departs East Fife for full time football at Falkirk. Anton joins us to talk about his move, his time at Bayview, his football journey so far, and bid farewell to the East Fife faithful.
Plus we find out if the now former Fifer Anton Dowds fancies a chocolate digestive, indie legends Half Man Half Biscuit feature again in this week's football music section Wavelength, we spotlight local singer-songwriter Joshua Grant in the latest Have You Heard?, there's another Who Are you? and more.
