Obama Enables Iran

Barack Obama perpetrated national security fraud when he assured us that the hasty and complete removal of U.S. forces from Iraq would “end the war” there.

Even then it was obvious that the American military’s presence gave Iraqis a chance to overcome sectarian and ethnic differences. Its termination by Obama cleared the way for purges and bloodletting, with worse sure to come.

That is especially so given that Obama’s own State Department has reported that Iran has been working to destabilize its neighbor. Presumably, the mullahs want a pretext for establishing formal hegemony over at least Iraq’s oil-rich south.

Now, with Sunni jihadists on the march in Iraq, President Obama is reportedly considering providing air cover for ground operations there by Iran’s Shiite jihadists. That’s a formula for an even greater disaster.
