We thought we'd try something fun and see what you all think!
This episode is all about 4 things that have just happened or will happen very soon in the food industry. Let's dive in!
1. Alicia Kennedy just released a book called No Meat Required, Beacon Press, August 2023, 232 pages

This is now in my hands and I will be diving in shortly.
2. Alicia Kennedy will also be a speaker at the upcoming Terroir Symposium happening in Calgary, AB, Canada. This symposium is bringing together people from around the world for 2 days of workshops at SAIT and then a final day of panel discussions and events in the downtown core of Calgary. I missed out on this last year and vowed to not miss it this year - so I am going!

3. Also at the Terroir Symposium, Hazel Lee a chocolate devotee and the creator of the Chocolate Tasting Map, will be doing a presentation. I have one of her tasting maps and use it as my Tasting events - it's beautifully designed and I love when people see it and it speaks to them.

4. Last tie in to the Terroir Syposium I speak about what do we do when a beloved restaurant closes. There will be a lot of restaurants and industry people at the symposium and this topic comes on the heels of Chartier, a French Canadian cuisine restaurant in Beaumont, AB announcing that they will be closing their doors at the end of September.
