In this class, originally delivered on 8/28/21 in a post Shabbat morning service class, Gabe Rutledge breaks down the oft repeated claim that calling Yom Teruah (the Feast of Trumpets) 'Rosh Hashanah' is supporting pagan influence on the Jewish faith. The claim also states that the Jews learning to treat the first day of the seventh month as a new year is from the Babylonians' influence on their faith. The claim also entails the notion that the Torah does not tell us to treat the seventh month as a new year. Using history and peer-reviewed research, Gabe breaks down why these baseless claims are simply false. For a link to the visuals used in this class, email admin@dothanmessianicfellowship.com
