Buried alongside Monolith’s pre-Fall plans is a digital presence tied directly to the company’s lost legacy—an ego that remembers a world before everything burned.

Back aboard the courier ship, the team faces a new kind of problem: what do you do with someone who woke up after the apocalypse inside a box? With Marzuk already seeing opportunity and leverage, Hex, Nyal, and Sava must decide how much truth to share, how much access to allow, and how far they’re willing to bend their Firewall obligations for a being that might be victim, asset, or something far more dangerous.

As the ship begins the long journey back toward Extropia, the stakes shift from “What did we find?” to “Who gets to own it?”—and whether any choice they make can avoid lighting the fuse on a second catastrophe.
