Paradise Lost, Some Kind of Monster, I Am Not Your Guru - are just three of the films that make up the career of one of the most significant non-fiction filmmakers out there. Joe Berlinger has two new projects coming up, both tackling the same primary character - Ted Bundy. One is a true crime docu-series for Netflix, Conversations With a Killer (dropping Jan 24th), the other, a scripted feature film starring Zac Efron as Ted Bundy, Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile (premiering at Sundance Jan 26). To start a new year of new podcast rambles, Joe joins me in the chat cave to talk about telling the Ted Bundy story in two very different ways, his career, and the current documentary boom.
