This is the third of eight sermons unpacking the importance of Christ crucified. This week we learn that Christ’s crucifixion demonstrates God’s love for sinners in that it brings propitiation—the turning away of God’s wrath upon sinners so that God can look on sinners with pleasure and God’s people can approach him at peace and with confidence.
