Breakthrough on the Stealth Jihad

A breakthrough of sorts occurred in the course of last night’s GOP presidential debate.  In two ways – one positive, one not so much – the contest finally illuminated a grave national security problem that will confront the next Commander-in-Chief. 

First, candidate Ben Carson referred to a document known as the Explanatory Memorandum that came to light during the nation’s largest terrorism financing trial. It’s the Muslim Brotherhood’s secret plan for using stealth – not violence – to “destroy Western civilization from within.” 

Then, a self-described “Muslim political activist” was allowed to show how it’s done.  Her video implied that Republicans’ exercise of free speech about Muslims is causing sharply escalating hate crimes here and inciting jihadist violence. 

We must recognize, debate and counter both the violent and the stealthy jihads.
