The International Day of Peace, also known as “Peace Day,” is observed worldwide each year on September 21.
At this moment in our global community, the need for peace has never been more critical. This year’s theme, “Cultivating a Culture of Peace,” is especially poignant, reminding us how far we’ve come and how much is still to be done to foster a more harmonious world.

This year marks a significant milestone: the 25th anniversary of the United Nations General Assembly’s adoption of the Declaration and Programme of Action on a Culture of Peace.
