Joel is one of the pioneers of MMA in Canada and an expert in hand-to-hand combat/MMA instruction with over 25 years of experience. He is a 5 time Canadian Jiu Jitsu Champion and 3 time Ontario Judo Champion. He was also the first man to defeat former champion and Japanese Shoot Fighting legend, Rumina Sato by arm bar submission in his Mixed Martial Arts debut!
