The American Psychiatric Association reports that, "Anxiety disorders are the most common mental disorders and affect nearly 30% of adults at some point in their lives.” Fear is something that all of us experience, triggered by input from our senses (seeing, hearing, tasting, touching, and smelling). Anxiety is our reaction to fear.
Many of us know this reaction. You’re awake long into the night, wishing you could sleep…You may sweat or tremble…Your heartbeat races as you think about a situation you’re facing...
We’ve been looking at emotions through the lens of the experience of Jesus. Compassion, Joy, Anger, and Sadness. But, did Jesus feel fear? Did Jesus experience anxiety?
Pastor Tara VinCross will preach the final sermon in the series Being Human: living imago dei on the theme of Fear. You’re invited to engage with God, this scripture, and one another as we worship our Jesus.
