We are back with another episode of the #SoulBackPodcast. This week we interview R&B artist and one of our personal favorites Bridget Kelly. She has had quite an interesting journey in her career as she started off with Jay-Z's Roc Nation team before moving to the independent route. She comes from the 2012-2015 era which we deemed as the toughest years for an R&B artist, so we get her perspective on that time. We also talk about her new EP "The Great Escape" and her transition as an indie artist. On our end we talk about new music from Johnny Gill, Jhene Aiko, Usher and much more. We also talk about Aaliyah's legacy while factoring in the recent R Kelly legal case as well as the fact that her music isn't streamable on all major platforms.
