Ahmadinejad’s Arrest Won’t Arrest the Fall of Iran’s Kleptocrats

The reported house arrest this weekend of former Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is big news.  No one in the Free World will mourn the incarceration of that thug, who did as much as anyone during his tenure to advance the regime’s lethal anti-Western agenda. 

Still, sources familiar with the inner workings of the kleptocracy run by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khameini, current President Hassan Rouhani and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps report that Ahmadinejad has remained untouchable until now for one simple reason: He has detailed information about how massively these Islamic mafiosi have been lining their own pockets at the expense of average Iranians. 

If Ahmadinejad’s arrest triggers the release of such secrets, it will further inflame public revulsion with the regime and its Sharia-supremacism.  And, if it doesn’t, the U.S. government must reveal to that end what it knows.
