Dr Catherine Fyans, MMBS - Integrative Medical Practitioner with 40 years of experience, author of The Wounding of Health Care - joins us.
In our current state - Media is perpetuating fear and not disseminating both sides of medical journalism. Much is being censored that is creating polarisations and divisions between the population. Unfortunately this is creating much stress - prolonged stress is creating survival mechanisms within us that are hostile. Are we getting the whole story on the virus?
Catherine has worked as a medical practitioner, as her ‘day job’, for many years, and for most of that time as an ‘integrative’, or ‘holistic’, general practitioner. She has also trained in, and been informed by, other health care disciplines, including kinesiology, and is passionate about integrating the best of these different health care disciplines. Her interest in other health care practices has challenged many of the dogmas that were instilled during her medical training. She believes that no one group ‘owns’ health care and that the authority of one’s health should be rightfully handed back to the client.
It doesn't matter what angle we look at our current situation, we are all in agreeance that something is quite not right. With all due respect to those who have died with the virus and those most at risk, tonight we open our minds and view the current pandemic from a different angle and discuss what viruses can teach us by upgrading our genomic sequence.
- The effects of sustained fear on the immune system
- Mass testing and positive 'cases' - what does this actually mean?
- Pro’s and con’s of wearing a mask. What does the science say?
- What are the health and wellbeing implications of the current sanctions?
- Susceptibility to infection rather than just focusing on barrier methods to viral spread.
