A talk with Clifford Naeole and John Cruz about the 26th Annual Celebration of the Arts.The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua will convene Hawaii’s most reputable artisans, educators, cultural practitioners, speakers and entertainers, March 30 – 31. Opening ceremonies include traditional Hawaiian oli (chants) from Hawaiian practitioners while music and hula will be continuous throughout the weekend. Hands-on art, demonstrations, films, cultural panels, music and dance will act as the common ground to allow visitors and residents the opportunity to interact and enjoy the “Number 1 rated cultural event” according Modern Luxury Hawaii magazine.

John Cruz – Entertainment at its finest. Renown guitarist and singer John Cruz starts the party with his soulful melodies that we all enjoy.Kalani Pe’a – The talent of Grammy Award winner and his band.. Maui’s own Ikaika Blackburn and “Na Hoa” lay it all out with their CD release party.  Now becoming a Celebration of the Arts tradition, Saturday night is reserved for the expose of new songs and dances. You never know who is going to make an impromptu appearance and grace the stage!

Josh Kahula and his band ‘Nuff Sedd also return to the center stage to rock the night away.  In 2017, no one in the audience wanted it to end. Do not miss this party of all parties!

The Celebration of Island Tastes will culminate the weekend festivities and is a brand new twist on the traditional Celebration Lu’au and Show!  Hawaiian food prepared by Hawaiian hands – from various local families, non-profits, vendors and practitioners.  SThe Celebration After-Hours Party is the grand finale.
