In this episode, we interview Kathy Pham, long time YouSchool Guide and full-time Director of Youth Development with UrbanLife in City Heights, an inner city neighborhood in San Diego. Kathy shares her own journey to transitioning from climbing the corporate ladder to dedicating her time and energy to being a role model, mentor, and friend to hundreds of inner-city high school students.
She brings up a lot of interesting topics, including urban farming, the Enneagram personality tool, Strengths Finder, an epidemic of fatherlessness amongst today's inner city youth, and a study on the increase of middle-aged men dying from suicide.
