My annual mother's day tribute to my late mother. Since yesterday was Mother's day and I don't get to celebrate it anymore since my mother has since passed, I've been taking The Monday Morning Breakfast Blend's the day after and paying tribute to her by playing some of her favorite songs. My mother was a very musical person, and I inherited my love of music from her. Because of her, I grew up exposed to some of the most beautiful songs in the great American song book. As a child, I would beg my mother to turn off that horrible "old people's music". Now, of course, some 35 odd years later, it's the purest music I know.
