Ellen Kamhi, PhD RN, www.naturalnurse.com, interviews Stacy Funt, MD. Dr. Stacey Funt is an allopathic physician trained at New York University and Mount Sinai Medical Centers working as a radiologist at Good Samaritan Medical Center on Long Island. In 2008, she co-founded the hospital's Greencare Committee and in 2010 she co-founded the Coalition for Environmental Health. She has lectured at grand rounds to attending physicians and residents on the effects of environmental toxins on the developing fetus and child and how to reduce exposure in the home. She has also given numerous workshops within the hospital and surrounding community at parent groups, libraries and PTA's on "Greening Your Life-One Step at a Time".
