Peace through Strength

This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is on an international tour that demonstrates the perils of President Obama abandonment of the Reagan philosophy of “peace through strength.”  Her trip illustrates the dangers for us and our interests associated with the perception – if not the reality – of declining American power and influence. In Libya, Mrs. Clinton flashed the victory sign with representatives of the new order there – a transitional council that includes al Qaeda operatives and Muslim Brothers. In Afghanistan, the Secretary pledged our continued support, even as we withdraw forces and encourage what amounts to a negotiated surrender of the place to the Taliban. And in Pakistan, Hillary’s “tough love” message is discounted by the conviction that we will soon be irrelevant in the region — and beyond. We had better prove otherwise.
