Power of Information

This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.  Five thousand years ago, the famous Chinese strategist Sun Tsu observed that it is better to defeat your enemies without having to fight them.  His successors certainly understand that reality.  But our leaders don’t seem to get it. Unlike the Communists in China and actual or potential adversaries elsewhere, our government simply does not recognize the power of information which, if used effectively, can undermine our foes and help ensure our victory over them. For years, the US has been unilaterally disarming in the War of Ideas, shutting down the Voice of America’s native language broadcasts to Russia, the Middle East, India and Brazil. Next may be broadcasts to China. If we have any hope of securing our freedom without more needless wars, these actions must be reversed.  The sooner the better for us, and for our target audiences.
