Support the Troops

This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. Everybody says they support the troops.  But what if our troops don’t have the modern planes, tanks, ships, and other weapons they need to do their missions and keep us safe? In the past, our weakness has proven provocative, prompting enemies to act aggressively at great costs to our country and interests.  Yet, right now, cuts in our investments in national defense are being considered in Washington that even President Obama’s Secretary of Defense, Leon Panetta, calls “worse than shooting ourselves in the foot.”  He says, “we would be shooting ourselves in the head.” If the troops are to do their duty, we have to do ours.  According to the Constitution, that means the federal government must provide for the common defense.  Let’s really support the troops, tell your representatives there is no substitute for “Peace through Strength.” This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.  Learn more at securefreedomradio.com.
