Iranian Nukes

This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. Last Tuesday, Republican presidential candidate Michelle Bachmann used her appearance at a national security-themed debate to issue an urgent warning:  An Iranian regime perilously close to acquiring nuclear weapons intends to use them to destroy Israel and America. Could that happen?  The leaders of Iran may think so.  For years, they have covertly pursued nuclear weapons and obtained ever-longer-range missiles with which to deliver them.  Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has, moreover, repeatedly said that Israel must be wiped off the map – and that a world without America is not only desirable, but achievable. Iran knows that one or two nuclear weapons would destroy most of Israel.  And a high-altitude nuclear detonation over the United States could unleash an electro-magnetic pulse with catastrophic effects.  Will we act in time to prevent these nightmares?
