Losing Religious Freedom

This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. Last week, I told you about a little-known, but vitally important, organization – the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom.  Thanks to its congressional mandate, this official organization has the independence to be an effective watchdog about efforts by Islamists and others to suppress religious liberty.  We need this Commission and its truth-telling today more than ever at a time when the rise of Islam’s barbaric shariah doctrine is translating into mounting repression abroad – and submission by the Obama administration at home.  Tragically, a single U.S. Senator may terminate the Religious Freedom Commission by week’s end.  At a minimum, Senator Dick Durban seeks to turn this watchdog into a lapdog for our enemies.
