The Obama administration has responded by asserting that the U.S. Navy will keep the Strait of Hormuz open, no matter what.
Unfortunately, even without the Iranian missiles and naval capabilities recently on display, the mullahs could effectively cut off oil flows via the Persian Gulf. All they really need to do is persuade Lloyds of London that it’s too dangerous to insure ships plying those waters, and the vessels won’t go there.
If this is how Iran is behaving before they get nuclear weapons, imagine what they will do after they have the bomb. Will we wait to find out?
