Obama’s Triple Play

This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. President Obama has blocked construction of the “shovel-ready” Keystone XL pipeline. This amounts to a triple-play against America’s energy security and for her present and prospective enemies. First, it perpetuates our country’s reliance on energy from easily interrupted overseas sources. Incredibly, Mr. Obama is doing that just as Iran is threatening to block the strategic Strait of Hormuz. Second, the Keystone decision condemns us to the continued transfer of immense national wealth to the OPEC cartel and others deeply hostile to us. And third, the Canadian oil we could have is likely to go to China – significantly strengthening a nation Mr. Obama says we must pivot our shrinking defenses to counter.
