Obama’s Audacity of Deceit

President Obama’s address to Congress Tuesday night has been described as delusional, with its unwarranted claims of success and its denial of real setbacks. In fact, it would be more accurate to describe it as deluding – a deliberate and aggressive effort to deceive the American people about the true state of our union. From the man who brought us Audacity of Hope, we are now being treated to the audacity of deceit.

In fact, it would be more accurate to describe it as deluding – a deliberate and aggressive effort to deceive the American people about the true state of our union.

From the man who brought us Audacity of Hope, we are now being treated to the audacity of deceit.

Barack Obama is not the first politician to distort the truth. Nor will he be the last. But it is deceitful for him to depict as know-nothings people who correctly see in his policies and conduct an effort to “fundamentally transform” America in ways that are diminishing it. And this politician must be called on and held accountable for doing that.
