Nuclear Disarmament

This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. Candidate Barack Obama promised to “fundamentally transform the United States.” Evidently, that includes ending America’s status as a nuclear superpower. As President, he seeks to rid the world of such arms, starting with ours. Press reports reveal that he is actively considering proposals to cut eighty percent of our arsenal, perhaps unilaterally. That would leave America with a nuclear deterrent roughly the size of Pakistan’s and a fraction of that of Russia and probably much smaller than the one Communist China is secretly amassing. It comes as North Korea, Iran and other potential adversaries are building up nuclear forces. If this kind of radical unilateral disarmament is what Mr. Obama is prepared to contemplate amidst a presidential campaign, imagine how radically he will transform – and undermine – our security if he is reelected.
