In France this week, three Jewish children were murdered outside their school by an assailant on a motorbike who claims to be a jihadist from North Africa tied to al Qaeda.

Every parent thought immediately of their own children’s vulnerability at or enroute to school. These are the ultimate soft-targets in free and open societies like ours, and virtually impossible to protect completely.

What we can do something about, however, is another kind of jihadist attack on our schoolchildren – through what they are taught.
