Obama’s Trip To Afghanistan

President Obama did a brief drop-by in Afghanistan last night. It could be called the ultimate campaign whistle-stop since its evident purpose was to allow him once again to take personal credit for killing Osama bin Laden a year ago.

Interestingly, a damning new video at VeteransforaStrongAmerica.org shows how wholly inappropriate – and utterly appalling – is this self-promotion on the backs of real heroes who took out al Qaeda’s chief terrorist.

Worse yet, Mr. Obama used the occasion to reaffirm that he’s pulling the plug on US combat operations in Afghanistan. Then he had the gall to promise that the United States would continue to be engaged there for a decade afterwards. Unfortunately, it’s predictable that we will come to regret the former, and decline to honor the latter.
