Egypt vs. Israel

This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. Yesterday’s attack on Israel from the Sinai is the latest indication that the so-called Arab Spring is turning into a dangerous Islamist winter. The overthrow of Hosni Mubarak who kept the peace – albeit a cold one – with the Jewish State has ushered in a Muslim Brotherhood-dominated regime in Egypt. That new government has opened its border with Gaza, allowing arms to flow to the terrorist organization that runs the place, Hamas. Al Qaeda has established a presence in the Sinai from which attacks on Israeli territory are proliferating. Israel cannot remain passive in the face of such threats – making an Israeli-Egyptian conflict a matter of when, not if.
