9-16-12 The URI Opera William Sprague and His Women - Conducting Conversations

The URI world premiere, of the 3 act opera “William Sprague and His Women”, is the subject of this week's program, with Geoffrey Gibbs, composer and Richard Vangermeersch, librettist.  We talk about how this production came to be, it's history and it's music.  We listen to some of the amazing music that was recorded last July.  The opera will be performed Sunday September 30, at 4:00PM, at the University of Rhode Island Fine Arts Center.  For more information call 401 783-8853.
