Hagel’s Spin

This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. On Thursday, the Senate Armed Services Committee and the American people will be treated to quite a spectacle:  Chuck Hagel, President Obama’s choice to be the next Secretary of Defense, will be spinning at the RPM of a prima ballerina.  By telling Senators what they want to hear, he hopes to obscure his well-documented public record, blur his serially faulty judgments and disguise the harm both suggest he is prepared to do, if confirmed, to national security. Will Mr. Hagel’s cynical and contemptuous gambit be rewarded by the Senate, or will it be properly repudiated?

That may depend as much on what your Senators hear from you as the falsehoods they hear from Chuck Hagel.  If you are concerned about his hostility towards Israel and his willingness to disarm us, let them know.
