But Mr. Obama seems curiously indifferent to other matters that also deserve a vote. A Senate budget deserves a vote. Senator Ayotte's bill staving off devastating sequestration defense cuts deserves a vote. The President's reported unilateral elimination of one-third of our nuclear arsenal deserves a vote.
Will Mr. Obama insist that the Senate vote on issues like these? Actually, he seems happy to have Majority Leader Harry Reid prevent that from happening, even though the American people deserve these votes.
