Reject Hagel

This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. Evidently, President Obama's nominee to become the next Defense Secretary has long been an anti-Semite and virulent critic of Israel.  If Senators confirm him for that post, they will not only entrust our military to a man with such views.  They'll become associated with them. Mr. Hagel has been trying to deny, disavow and/or apologize for a series of outrageous remarks that reflect these sentiments.  Last week, it was his 2007 assertion that the State Department is an adjunct of the Israeli Foreign Minister's office. This week, it's his 2010 description of Israel as an incipient apartheid state and its prime minister as a radical. Chuck Hagel is not the man to lead the Pentagon.  If he won't withdraw his nomination, it must be rejected by the Senate.
