Korean War 2.0

This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. The ever-present danger of conflict on the Korean peninsula may be growing and renewed violence there may not be limited to that region. Under its new leader, Kim Jong-Un, North Korea has lately  warned of its intention to destroy U.S. forces in Japan and Guam and strike the American homeland. The United States has just signed an agreement with South Korea affirming a shared intention to retaliate harshly for any such attack. The possibilities of a renewed war in Korea is a reminder of how quickly our priorities can change and that our perceived weakness can be provocative.  Regrettably, due to sustained cuts in defense spending and the resulting hollowing out of our military, we may be perceived as ill-equipped to deter such aggression, or contend with the repercussions should it occur.
