I'm sorry to report that October and I are no longer seeing each other.

Sadly, we broke up this past Thursday, and she moved out on Friday.

I knew it wouldn't last. These fall romances rarely do.

There's something significantly poignant, and bittersweet about nursing a broken heart amidst the colorful, dying fall foliage (even if it is over a "girlfriend" that's actually a conceptual ideal).

Still, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get all Lloyd Dobler and hoist the metaphorical boom box outside of October's window!
