Join Reid this week as she sits down with marine biologist, Caitlin Bate, who currently holds the role of Field Operations and Data Acquisition Coordinator with the Ocean Tracking Network. Learn about the tracking equipment that OTN deploys as part of their various projects, how to get involved with their telemetry initiatives, what collaborating with OTN looks like, and which events, workshops, and conferences you can attend with OTN.
About the Ocean Tracking Network:
OTN is a research, data management, and collaboration platform based out of Dalhousie University in Halifax, NS. For over 15 years, OTN has been deploying monitoring technology in aquatic environments to better inform the movement patterns and behavioural habits of various aquatic organisms. Researchers around the world partner with OTN and make use of their data infrastructure to drive cutting-edge work across the globe--generating knowledge that can help move us toward a more sustainable tomorrow.
