Hands-off Treatment for Terrorists

One of the most damning indictments of President Obama’s tenure is that he has switched sides in the “War on Terror.” Instead of supporting governments that are reliable allies in that war, Team Obama is at pains to undermine them.

Instead of trying to crush Islamist organizations committed to our destruction, Mr. Obama has – apart from periodic drone strikes, principally in Afghanistan and Yemen – tended to embrace, legitimate and even arm them.

Now, Senator Chuck Grassley has released Department of Homeland Security emails suggesting that the Obama administration has actually adopted a terrorist “hands off” list that allows individuals with potential terrorist ties into the United States. If true, the gravity of the list of high crimes and misdemeanors with which this president could – and should – be charged just increased dramatically.
