Lexie shares her mental health story surrounding her eating disorder. After being diagnosed at age fifteen, she spent six days in Primary Children's Hospital and the following four months with a feeding tube. Through a complex process of recovery with a specialized therapist, eating disorder dietitian, pediatrician, and support team, Lexie has since reached full recovery.
A very young gal and quite wise beyond her years..... and motivated to share with others all that she can so that she can help others. By sharing her story, she desires to shed light on the stigma around mental illness and provide listeners with hope. Lexie is now a motivational speaker, coach, and podcast host. At the Every Ounce podcast, nothing is off the table. We talk about the most real and raw conversations of life. Lexie shares her story and discuss diet culture, mental illness and/or orthorexia .
