A man has died after throwing home-made petrol bombs at an asylum centre in Dover.

The suspect is thought to have taken his own life in a car shortly after hurling explosives at the processing centre yesterday.

It comes as more than 100 charities call on the Home Office to provide safe and legal routes for asylum seekers.
